Shamanic Sessions
Each session is 2 hours long and will include a variety of techniques, including all or some of the following: Shamanic Healing, Sound Healing, Reiki Healing, Alchemical Hypnotherapy, Freedom Breathwork, Perfume Cleansing, Light Healing, Somatic Healing, Energy Extractions, Guided Imagery Healing and self empowerment techniques.
Alan is committed to helping with a deeply sustained healing transformation and not just ‘band aid’ techniques: Similarly, he requires that his clients also are committed to their own deep healing, which is understandably a process and not a ‘pop-a-pill’ technology.
Alchemical Hypnotherapy
Alchemy has traditionally been associated with the transmutation of base metals into gold. The ancient Alchemists made clear in their writings that the substance of their transmutation was the human soul. Their goal was the transmutation of the base metals of human emotions and instincts within the subconscious mind into the gold of self-realization. According to Carl Jung, the first modern alchemist, the vehicles of this transformative process were the archetypes, the Inner Guides.
Thus Alchemy can be defined as a Shamanic Discipline of working with Inner Guides. These powerful and autonomous beings live within the subconsciousness mind and can guide us effectively to health, happiness, relationships, prosperity, and most important, the fulfillment of our spiritual purpose! These Guides can be accessed through guided imagery whilst in a light trance state.
Alchemical Hypnotherapy is a deeply relaxing therapeutic process designed to assist the client in working with their Inner Guides to change their lives. Alchemical Hypnotherapy synthesizes techniques from many modern schools of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy and Psychology. It includes Gestalt, Regression Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psychosynthesis and Shamanism with the ancient science of Alchemy as translated and channeled to the modern world by Dr. Carl Jung.
The subconscious mind controls our emotions, our self-esteem, our beliefs, our immune systems, and our bodies. It is filled with awesome mysteries and unguessed powers.
The level of trance used by the Alchemical Hypnotherapist is an ‘Alert Trance’, in which the client maintains full conscious awareness and control, while in touch with subconscious memories, emotions, and resources.
Reiki Healing & Training
In a Reiki energy healing session with Alan Waugh, you will take an active part in the healing; in that you will sub-consciously draw in as much energy as needed to balance your body, mind and spirit, and goes to the places in order of priority. Because there is no particular belief system attached to Reiki, it is suitable for anybody but as in any healing, the first step towards transformation, is a desire to be healed.
Reiki is a simple and natural method of spiritual healing and self improvement that has been effective with virtually every known illness. Although there is no guarantee of a cure, it always works to the greater good and in conjunction with all medical and therapeutic techniques, to relieve side effects and enhance whatever natural healing is taking place.
Those who use Reiki energy regularly, often find they are more joyful, lively and that their own innate energy is enhanced. Existing conflicts within the body are broken down and there is a greater vitality, leading to relaxation and stimulation of the energy body.
A powerful healing session will:

Additional Services
One of the reasons I love Reiki as a healing modality is that it is so simple to learn and use. The beauty of this magical energy healing art is that the practitioner has to simply activate the Reiki energy channels and start transmitting this high-vibratory Universal Life Force through their hands toward whomever or whatever is their intended recipient. The primary power of Reiki is to activate the relaxation response which allows the homeostasis of the body to start doing what it knows very well how to do, given the right conditions – to heal itself.
I volunteered in hospice for 20 years and used Reiki as part of how I could offer comfort to the dying. “To heal”, in this case, is to help the person to die in peace, without fear, anxiety or pain. There is often a tension associated with end-of-life and to simply help the person relax through this tension-filled time into inner peace, can be the highest form of healing at this challenging time on their Earthwalk.
The uniqueness of Sacred Valley Spiritual Retreat – Mount Shasta, California for learning Reiki, includes the fact that we are the only licensed and permitted Reiki Retreat Center in the US. The skill level I provide, in both practice and teaching, comes not only from 20 years at the bedside of the dying, but from many years training in indigenous wisdoms in the jungles and highlands of Peru,and from leading thousands of people in healing circles in the US and internationally.

REIKI GROUP CLASSES:
We offer Reiki Group Classes in our healing Sanctuary in Vilcabamba. These are week long and will cover from Basic to Advance or from Reiki 1 to Reiki Master/Teacher.
3 LEVELS OF USUI REIKI CLASSES:
Reiki 1: You are attuned (empowered) to impart Reiki energy to yourself and others. You will
learn about the human energy system, learn suggested hand positions and get a chance to practice on others.
Reiki 2: Attuned to Reiki 2 allowing for an increased flow.
Learn the 3 secret Usui symbols that allow for distance healing, mental/emotional healing, send healings into the past or future, to pets
and relationships etc. Learn about setting up a Reiki Healing Practice. Time to practice on others.
Reiki 3: Receive Reiki 3 / Reiki Master attunement. Learn the Master symbol that enhances the other symbols and allows for deeper incorporation of healing potential. Embarking on a part time or full time career of Reiki.
Shamanistic Reiki Level 1
Created by Alan, In this week long workshop retreat will teach you techniques that he calls Shamanistic Reiki, that Alan has used for years to offer deeply transformative healing sessions to hundreds of clients. It is really Shamanic practices supported by Reiki rather than the other way around and involves active participation by the receiver/ client. Through incorporating these techniques, you not only activate the client’s own capacity to heal themselves but also teach them how to continue these practices at home.
This workshop will include teachings on shamanic principles of sickness and health, how to do energetic cleanses (limpia’s) for your client and yourself. You will learn techniques that Alan successfully uses for releasing the root causes of addictions, fear and depression and how to use relaxation techniques to enhance the client’s ability to allow energy flow for healing. Also learn how to use colors and shapes to isolate and then release energy blocks or tensions held in the body for healing and a myriad of other techniques that Alan has honed over many years.
Because of the advanced nature of this workshop, it is suggested that you are at the level of Reiki Master and are familiar with incorporating the Master Symbol into your practice. This class is also a pre- requisite for taking the Shamanistic Reiki Advanced class. You may under circumstances only be attuned to Reiki 2. Call Alan for approval.
SPIRITUAL COUNSELING:
Spiritual counseling is included part of a Shamanic Healing session and is similar to spiritual coaching. However, often additional counseling is used for follow up and support during the integration process and for periods of additional assistance if required, for specific spiritual or emotional crises.
Included as part of the Shamanic healing session.
SOUND HEALING:
Sound Healing is one of the oldest forms of healing known to man. When we sing we resonate every cell in our body. Sound healing is a powerful tool for treating pain and illness as well as a way of tuning ourselves to the Divine.
Sound healing is the therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the body/mind of people with the intention of bringing them into a state of harmony and health.
Each organism has its own vibratory rate. Every object in the universe has its own unique resonant frequency. Through using a combination of voice, crystal bowls, bells, gongs, didgeridoo and other percussive instruments, Alan can help attune his client to this vibratory rate, allowing for deep relaxation and harmonious balance. It can be seen as similar to gently vibrating a dish of small stones. As you vibrate the stones, they all fall into harmonious balance with each other, becoming more tightly connected and filling the spaces (in our energy field) that otherwise cause power loss and dis – harmony.
